New This Year: PickUp Patrol Makes Dismissal Changes Easy

Lake Shore's elementary families have a new tool for managing dismissal changes this year. PickUp Patrol, a free online platform, is now in place at Lake Shore elementary schools, replacing notes and phone calls with a quick update from a phone, tablet, or computer.
Every student has a Default Plan, their regular daily dismissal routine, like riding Bus 12 every day, or going to Aftercare on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. When something changes for a specific day, whether a student is being picked up early, riding home with a friend, or switching to Aftercare unexpectedly, families simply log in and submit a Plan Change. The school is notified right away, and the classroom teacher lets the student know before the end of the day. Families should submit changes by 2:15 PM to make sure they're received in time.
Registration is simple and free. Families will receive a registration email directly from their school with a link to set up a password. Anyone who doesn't see it should check their spam folder before contacting the school office to confirm their email address on file. Once registered, PickUp Patrol can be added right to a phone's home screen for one-tap access, no app store required.
The district's full Parent Guide covers registration, making a plan change, and troubleshooting login issues, all in one place.
