MURPHY'S SUMMER OF SERVICE

ANGOLA, NY – Murphy, the therapy dog who calls Highland Elementary School home, had quite a summer. Working alongside Miss Sreniawski, Murphy volunteered through the SPCA Paws for Love Program - traveling to events and programs throughout the region where his calm, steady presence made a real difference.
Among his stops was the Hunter's Hope Family and Medical Symposium, where Murphy spent time with children and families living with leukodystrophies - a group of rare neurological diseases. He also visited staff at BOCES and spent time with adults in the dementia respite program at the YMCA. Along the way, Murphy sat for a few portraits - pieces he plans to display in his classroom when school starts.
Highland Elementary students are back soon, and Murphy will be ready. 🦅💚
